Jean-Yves Grall has more than 20 years of experience in management including 12 in the oil and gas industry.
Jean-Yves’s career has taken him to nine countries both on and offshore the African continent, including Cameroon, the Central African Republic, Chad, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Gabon and Madagascar.
Following a financial degree, he began his career at Bolloré in the tobacco industry. In his professional life, Jean-Yves has implemented change management programs and procedures for enhancing efficiency.
In 2005, he joined Perenco where his responsibilities quickly moved from the financial field to commercial prospecting via the negotiation of contracts related to government relations and contracts and procurement, human relations, legal affairs and logistics. He was in charge of the financial integration of several major acquisitions by Perenco, including those acquired from Total in Cameroon and the Marathon assets acquired in Gabon.
Prior to joining Assala Energy, Jean-Yves held the position of Managing Director for Peru at Perenco.
